Prior to this G5 I'd primarily used laptops for years. Particularly like the ALPowerbook keyboard for feel. Can't stand the normal Apple keyboards, or any normal ones really. Got the icekey maybe 1 month ago. I absolutely love it. And you don't have that issue...the only one...with the Powerbook when you are typing in Word, and go to hit the right shift key, hit the up button, and delete the last line or two...hate that...have to undo quickly. Not a problem with the bigger Icekey keyboard.

Lol, never encounterd that problem. This forum really helps me too, since I plan on buying a pmac G5, but i've used laptops all my life & want the small & sleek laptop keyboard feel.

So I cant do it with a DVD at all? WTH? Seems very inconvenient to need the special USB install media.

That is the case with ALL Macs that ship with newer version of OS X, not just MBAs. The install media is included so you can use it and sometimes it's the only media you can use. Apple didn't include it so you can just throw it away.

Does it show up in HID Explorer ( http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#samplecode/HID_Explorer)? Handy app if you're working with HID devices/API.

Can't show up in the HID_Explorer.Whether driver doesn't support? But my device is hid type device.

Subjectively it feels a little different to me, but I've never had problems with OS X's mouse acceleration anyway, whether in games or otherwise.

I have the A Jays Four and am not impressed. Muddy sound. Suggest taking a peek at head-fi.org forums. Those boys will set you straight. I suspect they would side with the UE models.

I just recently purchased the xion audio profile lp player which as a usb connector. I know its not professional level equipment.

I have been dabbling around with it and I have it connected to cd spin doctor. When its time to save the imported audio the following options are presented

so my questions are
Is audacity better than cd spin doctor for such a simple project
Is there a way to find out the quality of the audio that comes in on the usb cable from the vinyl player?
What format should the source files be saved in?

don't really know which to get as i really like the big capacity of the classic , but on the other hand the small formfactor , fm radio , camera 40bucks lower price .. dunno .. which one would you get

What format of video do I need? It appears that Mpeg-4 is out of the question and totally unnecessary for my application.

Is there any benefit to it over Mpeg-2

I just want really high res and clean footage.

I bought the icekey after making a switch from a powerbook 17" to G5 imac. It is a very nice keyboard to type on especially if you are used to using a powerbook. I tried the apple keyboard for about 5 minutes before it got put back into the box. Anyone want it for cheap?

if your rating is low (I would say below 10) I would recommend that you just buy a bunch of cheap crap just for the feedback. I know they sell a lot of postcards and things for like a quarter. Other than that, I agree with ITASOR. The photo(s) makes or breaks the sale. Look at some other Imac g4 photos and see what looks good and what doesn't.

And last but not least, don't gouge on shipping. that's just tacky.

Your requirements are not very demanding and I think you can accomplish all you need including your hi-rez images by buying some webspace from a host that offers "Fantastico". Fantastico is a open source auto-installer which will alow you to install a gallery, a blog, and much more.

While the 17 inch has enough room for such a beast, unless Apple have come up with new ways to cool their machines, and with their G5 experiments, they should have plenty ready, they won't be able to use something more interesting.

It would be nice to see a really amazing, slick machine with really high end portable graphics hardware but Apple will be conservative.
