I know this might be a stupid question but i have been googling for hours now and i cannot find a solution.
Is there a way to unlock any other basebands off the iPhone 4 not only 1.59.00 that ultrasn0w does.? And if so can you please supply a list of the basebands that are unlockable with Verson 4.0iOS and up.?

No only bb 01.59.00 can be unlocked.

Ugh Quicktime is terrible and needs to die. I dislike it almost as much as I disliked realplayer back in the late 90's.

Reinstalling the OS even once is so unnecessary, it's difficult to conceive of reinstalling it so many times that your hard drive would be damaged.

Ok, we are getting somewhere. When I press play after hitting capture now, the video starts playing. When I hit ESC to stop it, it does stop, but nothing happens. no dialog boxes asking me what to name it, and nothing appears in the browser.

The iMovie thing does work, but I'd rather do it "the right way." :)

Edit: I have got it working (thanks for all your help) but I still am doing it manually in the sense that it does not stop when there is a cut in the tape. I'd like to get each clip every time I started to record, and it is too hard to do manually. Should I just get out of this iMovie mindset or is it possible to do this?

Apple will announce Internet Radio capability on new iPod. With WiFi capability new iPods will able to tune into specially designated Internet Radio stations operated by Apple. I started folding with the G5 home computer for several reasons. First, I leave my computer on most of the time and really like the idea that for pennies I can have an application working on something useful for other people. Since I work in...<gasp>...IT, I also like the idea that processor time there is serving some higher cause.

I also lost a family member to cancer, so there is some small motivation there to see if some cumulative work will help in the understanding of these diseases -- though mortality is part of living....

Another reason? To contribute to the MacRumors Team (http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=3446) effort and earn props for the team.

Is a shorten keyboard ideal to learn playing on? I see Garage Band has some lessons but I would imagine as a beginner, the last thing you want is to adjust knobs and sliders to move up/down the octaves.

I like the M-Audio Oxygen 25. Looks like a very compact but has a lot of features.

Any thoughts?

As for as I know, it's extremely unlikely for someone to brick an iPhone or iOS device. You can certainly mess up during the process if you are careless, but you would just have to restore it or go into DFU mode. So I wouldn't be afraid.

Well about 5 weeks ago i ordered a new computer and the Canon MP760 printer. I had ben very happy witht the service...until now. I just recieved an e-mail saying that my printer that i had ordered is NOT going to be delivered. While i know i can order a different one that is not the point.

I am calling apple right now and i am going to try to get that printer put back on my order.

Well, I'm now running a 6040, so not exactly stellar points wise, but better than the 6701:

This is really just an experiment for the mpb - Once I decide on which SSD to get it will become my main home machine.

What is slightly concerning is that the CPU is at 85 C, but the heatsink temperatures are at 45 and 46 C. That really does suggest that the thermal paste isn't doing it's job of letting the heat move to the heatsink.
I'm trying to resist the urge to redo it with some AS5 to see if I can drop the CPU temp, but for normal (non folding!) use I can't see it being a problem.

hmm. do we have any numbers for other machines folding the same units? i would like to see how it stacks up to an i7 920 at stock speeds.

I was thinking of getting an iStockphoto portfolio going as a little side venture and was wondering what people thought of it? Or does anyone here do illustrations and sell to iStockphoto?

I know it's not a primary income sort of thing, but it would keep me motivated to continue illustrating and any money couldn't hurt.

Pretty sure they cannot play MP3 CDs. I don't even think the MP3 CD format existed when the PS2 came out (MP3 files existed, but no one had yet thought of making a CD player capable of playing them directly).
