Are you guys for real?
I'm not really into apple or apple products, but there is no big mystery behind the string ix.Mac.MarketingName (except for 'Mac', that is)
'ix' is and object or a variable in whatever programming language they've written this in.
'Mac' and 'MarketingName' are either methods or keys (in a hash) belonging to the 'ix' variable/object.
Let me illustrate with a simple javascript/JSON variable:
var ix = {

prince william kate middletonI hope all of you guys have been WINNING!!!!
Kate Middleton Prince WilliamNo, I wasn't even discussing what SHOULD BE included. I was discussing what was stated regarding the current situation of consoles and HD. What aren't you understanding?
My mistake, sorry. I got mixed-up between your replies to kevin.rivers, who replied to bigmc6000...
Really depends on yoru defintion of success. Popularity wise it's been successful (360 is helped solely by the fact it's the only HD player out there right now)
Maybe he meant "the only high-def console" on the market right now with the PS3 still a few months away?
LONDON (AP) -- Prince WilliamDoes anyone know if they are available from today in the retail stores?
The new MacBook Pros are available from the online Apple Store. The new MacBook Pros will ship next week.
That was in the story

802.11n isn't due for ratification until 2008. There is a "Draft N v 2.0" due out next year that is supposedly close to what 802.11n will be but there's no guarantee anything will work until the final spec is released in 2008.
As long as it works with the 802.11[whatever] that the iTV ships with, it'll work for me. :)
prince william jeans kateThe program in the US Army (basic training) was designed to burn 5000 calories a day. Basically you were moving 16 hours a day. Just can think of doing 12k or 30k calories a day.
Anyone know how many calories someone burns running a marathon?

I prefer the clean look of the current versions as well. It would be nice if Apple would actually implement a system with unified look.
The iPad and iOS get away with it because you have one window at full screen to look at. With a computer, I want my components to look alike and behave alike as they sit side by side.
If you're going to add this crappy eye-candy, at the very least give us the ability to reskin all of it.
To become a relevant team, we need to reach 250k units per day, almost double the current rate. We need 70 more iMacs/MacBooks or 5 8-core systems.
Wake me when iMacs have matte screens again.
Agreed.
Highly doubt it. Might just be an issue that a few devices are having but not across the board.
You mean Ayatollah assahola? :)
I don't have respect for those who completely disrespect others in that way.
Your sarcasm is inappropriate. This poster has a right to her/his opinion. There are plenty of folks that think that kids are a bad idea, especially in their case. I'm proud of the fact I don't have kids: I'd beat them just like Joan Crawford did in Mommy Dearest.
You sound like a wonderful human being.
I always love to bring that up at those Mcdonalds debates.
Personal responsibility means making informed decisions, and you can't make an informed decision if the information isn't available. I think that restaurants like that should make nutritional info easily available. That, and quit advertising unhealthy food in ways that imply that it is healthy.
