Right??? What does Microsoft have to do with Apple then? Did it become successful, then nearly go bankrupt, then become successful on the return of Mr Gates again? Do me a favor mate, if your going to pick on my apparent spelling (loose is the correct spelling ;) but I meant lose I guess) then at least quote what I ACTUALLY typed rather then make up what you think I typed? It would help matters if you can't be bothered to respond with anything useful. And I'm glad to hear you want a dumb downed computer with an iPad interface, meanwhile MOST of the rest of the world will stick to 'real' computer OS :rolleyes:

Yeah, wow, a laptop, I'm so glad you 'Assumed' I would want a laptop! I was actually thinking of a desktop that is expandable, performs far better then any iMac, costs a lot less then a Mac Pro..... And Windows 7 is pretty damn good and flash works on it...

I'm trying to connect to my work server (Windows Server 2008 R2) via Remote Desktop Connection for Mac on my iMac at home.

Until recently, the work server was running Windows Server 2002 but since the upgrade to 2008 I get an error when I try to connect to the work IP Address... Help!

.Mac is a load of old BALLS!!! It's absolutely ridiculously. We're paying €99 in Europe really for Mail, iWeb was only added recently, but you have to buy iLife '06 to use it. iChat is free? No it's not! Guess what? You have to pay €99, cause you need .Mac to use iChat. The whole thing is a joke! Way to respect your loyal fans Apple.

First thing apple could do is simple!! Bar this new, rarely useable addition (by me) every single thing about .Mac should stay the same!! Except one thing, PRICE, .Mac should be $29 in the US, and €29 in Europe. Then add more feature later next year.

Wow... this girl handmakes these stylish vinyl laptop bags that are sized for 12" and 15" Powerbooks. Probably most appealing to girls, but I'm thinking about getting one of the 15" ones and a shoulder strap.

A little on the pricey side, maybe? But totally one of a kind, and they're handmade, so you can't really complain.

Fortunately for the rest of us, Apple's clout will force Isilon to fix everything that's wrong with... well... everything.

1) Never work with a friend of a friend.
2) Never work for free.
3) Never work for a start up business UNLESS it has a larger group behind it (Public/private equity group, blue chip client with a new business, etc.. is ok).
4) Never do work for a religious organisation (seriously not a good idea). Or for that matter a union...
5) If you lie with dogs you'll get fle<b>a</b>s. Never work on a project you wouldn't want other clients seeing as a client of yours on your Portfolio.
6) Never work with a company where they can't speak your native language... Cheque time comes and "miso soli me no undastandy".
7) Be choosy about who you want to work with. Talented designers will always find work while talentless designers wont.

[8] I found in experience if you price yourself a certain way you tend to loose the "bottom feeding clients" as I like to call them. It also means the people who take up the service generally understand the price positioning thus have an idea of intrinsic value assigned to it.
