Fresh off her break up from My Boys actor Kyle Howard, Lauren Conrad is making changes - starting at the top!
Friday on her website, The Beauty Department, Lauren posted a picture of a multi-color highlighted style and asked her fans if she should do it. Over 21,000 people voted for her to "Do It," and she did.

I guess keeping your relationship away from the television cameras isn't quite enough for Lauren Conrad after all!
After about 3 years together, Conrad and her beau, My Boys actor Kyle Howard, have officially called it quits.
Kyle and Lauren had not made many public appearances during their time together and Lauren made it a point during her last season on The Hills to keep their relationship private - much to fans dismay.

The reality starlet recently went back to blonde from a darker look.
Lauren's boyfriend, Kyle Howard, is seen sitting behind her. The two began dating about 2 years ago and show no signs of slowing down.

Though MTV scrapped plans for a new reality show focused on Lauren Conrad's clothing line in February, the Paper Crown designer says she doesn't miss having the cameras follow her every move."I never wanted to end up in entertainment; that wasn't the goal," Conrad, 25, tells Lucky's July issue. "I was doing the show to end up in fashion. But I'm totally aware that without The Hills, I wouldn't be where I am."
After MTV rejected her pilot, Conrad blasted the network, claiming the "subject matter was too high brow for their audience."
"It didn't feel like a perfect fit," she tells the mag. "It's difficult to compete with all the Jersey Shore-type shows out there. Besides, there weren't any scenes of me getting drunk or fighting, so what's the point?"
After all, Conrad (who rose to fame on Laguna Beach in 2004) says her business is thriving without the network's help.

While she's remained a bit more low-key than usual as of late, Lauren Conrad is front and center in the July 2011 issue of Lucky magazine.Set to hit newsstands on June 10th, the former "Hills" hottie chatted with the publication about topics such as her new fashion line and keeping up with a healthy lifestyle.
Highlights from Miss Conrad's interview with Lucky are as follows:
On her Paper Crown fashion line launch: “It’s easier to launch the line without MTV. A lot of people in fashion don’t want to be linked with anything that has to do with reality TV. Showrooms were turning us down.”
On MTV pulling the plug on her reality show: “It didn’t feel like a perfect fit. It’s difficult to compete with all the Jersey Shore-type shows out there. Besides, there weren’t any scenes of me getting drunk or fighting, so what’s the point?”
On not being a fan of the gym: “I’m just not a fan of the gym. In fact, I hate it. I understand loving the feeling you get after working out - all those endorphins. But going there? It’s the worst.”
On her always-changing eating preferences: “I’m now focusing a lot more on my health. I no longer eat pork, I rarely eat beef, and I don’t like chicken now because my mother keeps four hens as pets. I’m not kidding.”

Don't expect to see a full-on Hills reunion when Kristin Cavallari weds Chicago Bears player Jay Cutler next spring.During an interview with Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Tuesday, the 24-year-old reality star said she's planning a "big wedding" -- but some of her former costars may not make the final guest list.
"It either has to be really small, like 40 people, or big, like 400 people. No happy medium!" she said. "Jay has to invite the entire Bears team, and that's a lot of people right there."
While Laguna Beach's Stephen Colletti will score an invite ("He was my high school boyfriend, but now we're really good friends," Cavallari says), her on-screen fling Justin "Bobby" Brescia won't be as lucky.
"It's not that I don't like him, but I haven't talked to him since we finished The Hills," Cavallari explained. "That was a fake relationship."
According to the newly engaged star, former costars Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, Lo Bosworth and Whitney Port won't be in attendance, either.
As for Heidi Montag? "She changed her number; I can't get a hold of her," Cavallari explained, adding that Spencer Pratt comes as "package deal."
Still, Cavallari added that Stephanie Pratt and Audrina Patridge may get to see her walk down the aisle -- if only to meet some of 28-year-old Cutler's teammates.

Who could ever forget when Audrina Patridge's mom, Lynn, called her ex-Hills castmate Lauren Conrad a "pissy ass little fashion s**t" during a drunken rant last October?
Though Lynn has since apologized for the tirade, Patridge wanted to address the incident once and for all on her new VH1 reality show, Audrina.
"My mom had a little mishap with the paparazzi, and I really wanted to address that right away," Patridge explained during a recent visit to Us Weekly's NYC Offices. "I really wanted to give her the opportunity to voice what she thought on that situation."
"On The Hills, I was definitely the girl who dated a lot and went through all these ups and downs with relationships," she said. "You guys are going to see everything that kind of led up to Corey [Bohan] and I's breakup and all the rough times."

Lauren Conrad's "The Fame Game" will be available in book stores on April 3, 2012, but readers can pre-order now for just $12.23 and save $5.76 from the price of $17.99.
"The Fame Game" is a new three-book trilogy spun-off from the "LA Candy" trilogy, this time telling the tall tales of Madison Parker, who's fame hunger is ravishing.
Lauren announced these new set of novels after having all three "LA Candy" novels go to #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List.
Along with Candy, Lauren wrote "Lauren Conrad Style," a book devoted all to Lauren's expertise about fashion, hair, clothing, and special occasions, which topped the bestseller list too.
"The Fame Game" is loosely based on real-life fame-seeker, Heidi Montag, where Heidi and husband Spencer spent frivalous amounts of money to keep their celebrity going, only to drive them broke.

She danced right into his heart!Former Laguna Beach star Stephen Colletti told Us Weekly at Tuesday night's Hot Hollywood party that he's "having a great time" with Chelsea Kane.
"She's great. I'm so proud of her," the reality-star-turned-actor, 24, said of Kane, 22. "She's doing amazing on Dancing with the Stars."
Earlier this month, Kane told Us she and Colletti were set up on a blind date by her manager. A close friend of Kane's told Us that she's been a fan of Colletti since his days as an MTV reality star alongside Lauren Conrad. Kane's friend revealed: "She tore his photo out of a magazine to show friends!"
Colletti was tight-lipped when it came to personal details about his relationship with the Disney starlet. The sexiest part about Kane? "That's between her and me," he quipped. And the most romantic thing he's ever done for her? "That's also between her and me. We're having a great time together. She's a great girl."
The One Tree Hill actor said the couple's dueling schedules prevent them from spending too much time together. "We fight the battle of finding time," he said. "She has rehearsal a lot and works so hard on her show. So we're more laid back. We like to go on dates together."

Her latest foray into the reality TV world didn’t work out, but fear not, Lauren Conrad is anything but bored. The former MTV starlet, author and budding fashion designer today launched thebeautydepartment.com, a website full of hair and makeup tips she’s procured over the years.
The photo and video how-tos star Conrad, plus her longtime hairstylist, Kristin Ess, and her makeup artist, Amy Nadine.
Conrad says that before joining forces with her glam team, she often turned to fashion magazines for beauty help — often unsuccessfully. “Growing up, I never really learned how to do my hair and makeup correctly and the results weren’t always great,” Conrad said in a release. “Our goal with The Beauty Department is to provide girls and young women with a basic how-to of simplified versions of popular trends and styles that they can recreate themselves.”
The site covers hair and makeup basics, as well as health-related beauty topics, like sun protection. Readers can also submit questions, which the trio will attempt to answer online.

Lauren Conrad's ex boyfriend Stephen Colletti is dating Chelsea Kane, the Dancing with the Stars cutie, 22, tells Us Weekly.
"We were set up on a blind date by my manager," she says.
It turns out the dancer has been a fan of the 25-year-old One Tree Hill actor since his days with LC on MTV's Laguna Beach.
A source close to the dancer tells Us, "She tore his photo out of a magazine to show friends!"

"I'm not a sexy person," The Hills star, 25, said. "I'm OK with it. I've never been the sexy girl. Whenever I've had a boyfriend, he's always been like, 'Oh, you're cute.'"
But LC admits there have been plenty of times she doesn't even feel cute, especially when it comes to stories about her fluctuating weight.
"You're the first person to notice any weight gain or loss, and then to have it pointed out can be embarrassing," she says. "You have two good angles and a hundred bad ones. I've seen photos of myself and cringed, 'Oh, God, I can never wear those pants again!'"
In fact, the reality star and writer, who's been dating actor Kyle Howard for nearly two years, has devised a plan for those incidents. Conrad now wears skinny jeans with high heels to elongate her legs and she always carries a giant handbag.
"If I'm shopping and I see paparazzi, my bag goes directly to my thighs," she says.
But while Conrad might have some self-esteem issues, she says she'd never consider going under the knife like pal Heidi Montag, who had more than 10 procedures including breast augmentation, liposuction, and a nose job.
"I saw the magazine just like everybody else," she says. "I don't think this is a happy story at all, there's just no right answer there."
