I think there's no doubt that it refers to the new thin lptop.

Try squeezing 26,000 songs on your iPhone. ;)
Nice library, but do you need it with you at all times? I used to think I did, but I've found that I don't need 11,000 songs with me all the time. I have songs in my library I haven't listened to in years. Another reason why the iPod classic is dying, Apple, and iTunes, have made it very easy to manage the music you actually listen to, and add it to your iPod.
AC/DC WALLPAPERBEST BUY does not have the ipad on stock. The program they launched today - from their ad is you have to go to the store and pay $100 for a deposit so you can order a unit. They do not have any units on stock. You might as well go directly to apple.com and order from them.
They put the ipad on their front ads but do not have even a single unit on stock. Everyone waiting in line this morning here was disappointed at our local Best Buy store.
You do realize that there are over 1,000 Best Buys? You do realize that not every single one is going to have enough inventory, as supply is limited not only at Best Buy, but everywhere, including Apple.com? If the store you went to had inventory to sell (meaning they had no or few reservations) then they would sell you one. Perhaps they had none, perhaps they had some that were set aside for reservations. How would you feel if you had reserved one and then went to the store to find out they sold the product you had reserved already? The reason they offered the $100 down on a reservation is because they didn't have any left to sell you. I don't see how this is false advertising.

Ssteve,
I wish you had read my post a little more closely. I did not go through with the exchange process because the form did not accept my serial number as is. I had changed the last letter to see if it would accept something else.
Regardless of that, I will wait til an appropriate time to call or try online again with my serial number. No doubt it will work later either online or on the phone.

And Firefight is my number one seed, I just wish death had a bigger penalty.
Firefight is great fun, especially Score Attack. I play the crap out of that. There was another playlist update today, tweaking Firefight, along with some other things. They have bumped regular Firefight up from 1 round to a full set, so that is nice. Also, Bungie mentioned in an update recently that they were going to probably down the road add in a "Firefight Classic" mode to Matchmaking. That would be like it was in ODST, where your team has a limited number of lives for the team. They also said they will probably be adding a Legendary difficulty option as well, so that will bump up the challenge quite a lot.
I really hoping Microsoft re-releases Halo 1 and 2, using the reach engine.
Halo Anthology, with all 5 games, all updated using the Reach engine. Believe! ;)
Wallpapers of AC-DC - 1 (1/2)Worst rumor ever. Sure let's view web pages in 3D (hint: ads will be jumping around).
Its not for web pages but games for example or training apps. Lots of ways that this will be a good thing.

Maybe it had nothing to do with money at all. Maybe "wife said no" because hubby is obsessed with gadgets and the Internet, and therefore pays no attention to wife, kids, dog or fish.
That said, Apple may not have necessarily helped with family by sending it back to hubby for free. All they did was undermine the wife's better judgment.
Are you the wife? :pHilarious!
AC/DC WallpaperWhat's illogical about it?
Why should we subsidize the defense industry, a multi-multi-billion dollar expense to our government, merely to maintain some jobs?
Please show me the evidence that demonstrates that is a positive investment for our country.
show me, show me? ... if you can not see the value for the economy in the people that work in and around the Military ... from Mom and Pop stores to direct suppliers to the Military? ... and your solution is ...
I'd suggest that those who's careers are based on maintaining our military can file for unemployment and search the want ads just like everybody else.
like I said ... good thing you are not part of the decision process.

Slight change again, still need to do something with my 10000000's of cables.
The glass desk doesn't necessarily help you. You could try looking into Bluelounge's CableBox (Link to product description on Bluelounge's website (http://www.bluelounge.com/cablebox.php)) or do a make-shift version.

Like the apple store?
Lol, Joking....The Apple store, while certainly a "neat" place, has never been an all-around pleasant experience for me. The place is constantly packed to the brim with people just gawking and getting whatever they just picked up at the food court thoroughly smeared all over everything while they check facebook.
not liking the apple store much either anymore. too many people.

Continuing On...
The Register had a good article that reflects how I feel:
Whatever happened to... Mac OS X Leopard? (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/08/08/mac_os_x_leopard_preview/)
I don't like the Microsoft bashing either...it's just something that gets to me. Microsoft bashing is a waste of energy. Who cares what company did what first, as a consumer I don't care about originality. Just give me something that works. Whatever company can implement the idea the best to provide a benefit to ME, gets my business. Just shut up and innovate (like Apple has been doing), the products will speak for themselves.
I don't see iTunes making any references to Windows Media Player in their advertising. They don't have to. That's what is great about being No 1, you really don't care that much about who is below you making noise. I just wish that same mentality was applied to the OS.

The current iPod is 4.1 x 2.4 inches. A mass market paperback -- which ain't big -- is roughy 7.1 x 4.3 inches, which is almost twice as large as an iPod. Most eBook devices are the size of a mass market paperback or larger. Portable DVD/DVR players are also typically larger than the iPod enclosure. I am all for a wide format iPod where the screen is the thing, but I'm not sure I want to read a book (or watch movies) on it if it's going to be the same size as the current iPod enclosure.
...but then, I wouldn't want to listen to my music on a paperback size device...

I'm getting the same unknown '0x666D743F' error; rebooting and uninstalling/reinstalling itunes doesn't help.

possibilities:
1. Airport Express 2.0 with support for video streaming or (Airtunes 2.0)
2. Wireless AppleTV
3. WiMax or 3G integrated with new MacBooks
4. Slingbox to iPhone (as already rumored)
5. Some sort of iTunes integration with in-flight entertainment
6. Super-light MacBooks
Last year was iPhoneWorld so I don't think Jobs will concentrate much on the iPhone this year. I also don't think it is Slingbox because that would mean a product developed by someone other than Apple would take center stage...and that will never happen. A light computer is not really "in the air." Apple is too clever for that to be what they mean. And I don't think this will turn into AppleTVWorld either (although I do expect AppleTV-related announcements).
No...I think the focus will be on the Macintosh at this year's MacWorld. Therefore I vote for #3. Imagine every new MacBook equipped with an AirPort card that can access AT&T's 3G network. No more searching for WiFi spots. You could access the Internet at fast speeds while cruising down the highway! Pretty cool. It would definitely catch the competition off guard.
I'm just stating pure fact:
Most of the people I know that shop at Wal-Mart don't own an iPod with video let alone a computer that supports iTunes videos. Most own super cheap or older Wintel boxes and some cheap flash MP3 player. They will still go to Wal-Mart to buy DVDs.
What is Wal-Mart worried about?
If any of you have bought albums off iTunes with interact booklets I have discovered a problem - they don't work!!! - It plays it for a second as if it is a tune - it doesn't open it. arrgggh.
My U2 booklet has been broken since a week or so after I downloaded the set, which was the first week they had the set available after delivering my U2 iPod (b&w of course).
Apple won't fix it, either. Every time I ask them to, they can't understand what I'm talking about, and offer to let me redownload the whole music set "just this once." But the booklet isn't ever re-sent. :(
