Adriana LimaThis thing is like Bigfoot: every claims it's out there somewhere, but we never see proof.
9to5mac is reporting some stores already have the physical units in hand and are instructed to keep them in their back safe and not open until the 27th.
adrianalima"Plays nicely with the MAC" doesn't give a lot of information about what you're planning to use to edit on the Mac.
In general, however, most cameras shoot video that is made for playback, not editing. So, if you're planning to use FCP to edit, FCP can import many different formats and convert them to formats made for editing. In addition, there are free and not-free programs that can assist in converting your camera format to an editing format.
If you can provide more information about your needs, you'll probably get more informative responses.
Good luck.

Adriana Lima Victoria#39;s SecretWell I hope I get a WD one too :)
I always had WD drives (good experience results in staying with the brand:D) but I never had a Seagate so I didn't know which of the two were better.
Adriana Lima Curly HairstyleThese all information which you can share is really very great. I have their skin on my 1st gen iPhone as well as 80GB iPod classic, no issues at all. Cost is $6.99 for the full body skin.

Adriana Lima#39;s New LookI've never been so baffled by a Mac behavior. Wondering if someone can help.
Just purchased two weeks ago a "new" refurb iBook from Apple's site, a 14" 1.3Ghz with a gig of new RAM.
The problem: I can't get it to connect wirelessly with our well-established wireless broadband home office. Some helpful details:
*** This iBook connects just fine when plugged into an Ethernet cable.
*** This iBook has connected wirelessly, but only for about a minute or two at a time, and then I get the following error message:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v416/sequoia1234/UpdateError.png
*** We have Comcast cable at our home office, and use a Linksys wireless G WRT54G.
*** We have 2 other iBooks and 1 PowerBook, all connect wirelessly just fine. They're each using DHCP, but I can also assign a fixed IP address, and they work fine with those as well. (I also have a G5 2G, but that's Ethernetted in). All of my Macs have in excess of 1 gig of original RAM, and are all running the most current software updates and 10.4.3.
*** I've used Macs extensively since 1991, and know a fair bit about them.
*** This iBook has had Onyx run a few times on it (in attempts to fix the problem). I've repaired permissions over a dozen times. I've also trashed the following .plist files:
com.apple.internetconfig.plist
com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist
com.apple.internetconnect.plist
com.apple.internetpref.plist
com.apple.recentitems.plist
*** In this iBook's Network settings, I've tried using DHCP, and the numbers come up identical (with a diff IP address of course) to the other Macs that are connecting wirelessly just fine.
*** The airport card strength (in the right side menu) shows full bars all throughout our home office and house. It's fully lit up.
*** Running Network diagnostics often says "It looks like you are connected to the Internet" but I'm not.
*** I've tried shutting down all the other Macs, to see if they're somehow part of the problem.
*** I've tried setting the IP address manually (over 30 times, with a variety of IP numbers).
*** I opened the keyboard and removed and reseated the Airport Extreme card. Same with the RAM: removed and reseated it. I've restarted the Mac, the router, the modem, honest-to-god even my entire house electrical circuits 'till the cows come home.
*** When I take the iBook to other locations (local cyber cafes, even the Denver Apple store) it lights up like a Christmas tree, and I'm able to wirelessly get on in a heartbeat.
*** When friends stop by (on both Mac and Windows laptops, THEIR computers hook up wirelessly immediately.
As I said, I've never been so baffled. I think: if it was hardware, it wouldn't work at the other locations. If it was the router, or its settings, the other 4 Macs wouldn't connect.
Any ideas?
I will never be so grateful for a fix!!

I would have to agree with a few that have posted here. There seems to be a mind set in some of the mac community that you have to upgrade! You need to have the newest shiny mac! And frankly I really don't get it. As I am typing this on my G3/800/10.4/768 iBook that bloody well does everything I need it to do on a daily basis. I have a dual G4 and dual G5 in the home office, but I really don't have the time to be in there with my daily computer needs. So if what you have does what you need? Video card issue? Meh. I have had 2 G3/900 iBooks pouch out on me with video issues, but let me tell ya, they where a hell of a lot cheaper to replace and do what I wanted them to do, than the newest mac on the block. And with that I will put away my soap box and continue using this aging beast on a a daily basis. ;)

Earning Models in 2009I have never had a problem with Myspace in Safari. I have always had WMP installed, and I do get errors with WMP10 playlists. I'm also running on an TiBook 500, so if you are still having problems, I suggest installing WMP9, and resetting Safari.

I get a bit jumpy about sites that offer loads - I mean how do they fund all this? I also find the graphics a bit annoying after while, but the gallery I like!
Adriana Lima is featuredThanks! The Terminal thing worked, I noticed that option in Cocktail, but I don't think I checked it to display. Thanks again.

Adriana Lima was married withPersonally I find that I can type much faster and more comfortably on a shallow keyboard like a PowerBook keyboard than on a deep keyboard (like an old original IBM keyboard). I have one of the classic IBM style keyboards hooked up to my PC, and I don't like it much. If I were going to buy a new keyboard, I'd go for something like the Icekey.

are you selling the QS? if so, for how much?
Adriana Lima (June 2009Thanks for the help everyone, when I hit 250 posts I'll put this in the Marketplace and see if anyone wants it for parts or repair.
Before you jump ship, the good news is that you can drop any number of other motherboards into your Macintosh TV, as long as you don't mind losing the TV capability (and the value of the machine). An LC 575 mobo is an excellent choice:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MacIntosh-PERFORMA-LC575-MOTHERBOARD-820-0464-A-/310242340001?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item483be26ca1#ht_698wt_824
I don't think you need to spend that much money, but it's an example of a way to make your machine functional again.
I think you can replace the TV Tuner board just by itself. I keep reading that "they where a popular add-on for Performa owners". This seems to suggest that the TV Tuner card in a Macintosh TV is the same used in Perfromas and other early Apple computers with TV Tuners.
Unfortunately that's not true. The Macintosh TV was a complete different beast than the video add-on for the Performas. :(

AdrianaLima_NET-I would say that OS 9 was Apples Vista and that was over 10 years ago.
Things I like about SL:
+1 I gained back about 20 gig on a 160 gig drive.
+1 App store. Yes I like the app store and the only thing I have mixed feelings about is it wants to put everything I buy in the dock. That's not gonna last long.
+1 $29. It's been a long time since I got a new OS for only $29. No wait. Never. This is the first time I've got a new OS this cheap without going through some OEM or student status ritual.
+1 Dock. I like the tweaks SL brought to the way the dock works.
Things I don't like about SL:
-1 Less stable than Leopard but the biggest culprits I found for making my machine lose its mind were: Firefox 3.x, Eyefi center (previous version), Handbrake (previous version). On the latest versions of these programs I rarely see that dastardly beach ball.
-1 More about stability. I seem to get more "quit unexpectedly" issues under SL than I used to see under Leopard.
-1 Speed. I find SL to be efficient compared to Windows but it seems to be slightly slower than Leopard on the same hardware.
As for iWork, iTunes and Steam having issues, I haven't used Steam but I do find iTunes to be less than stable no matter what OS you use it on. iWork, OTOH has been rock solid for me. I also use LibreOffice and my wife uses MS Office 2011 all of which are stable on SL.

I would kinda like to find a website where flame wars were cherished, trolls were honored, and bitter insults were extolled.
Of course, I appreciate and enjoy the close community that has formed here too much to want MacRumors to be that site, but I would like my occassional craving for flaming to be satisfied somewhere.
http://www.adequacy.org/ !
And, as much as I hate to say it, http://www.kuro5hin.org/ is full of jerkish trolls. *sigh*
PS: What do you have against Best Buy?
Its a nice shot but i don't really get a sense of scale, i don't get the feeling for how big the mountain is.
What could I have done differently to achieve better scale?

So you're trying to get a regular digital camera to work for webchat?
Just get a Macally IceCam. They're cheap (in the US  ) and they work well. You'd still need iChatUSB, but I know that iChatUSB works for sure with the IceCam, as that's what it says on the IceCam box. ;)
I don't use AIM or iChat though, and I use aMSN and my IceCam works out of the box. :)
Are you saying that aMSN does video on the Mac? I went to the website and found no reference to that.
Thank you.

Because you want to integrate Flash and PDF, I would say that Adobe Encore is your tool of choice. Apple's DVD studio pro is also popular, but Encore supports embedded computer data, flash, etc.
I suppose with things like this you've got nowhere to go once you've moved in. Obviously no one else will want to buy the house once everyone finds out it's true past. It sounds awful.
