Not sure if somebody has caught this yet, but there's HD content available already on iTunes this evening (screenshots attached). They're calling it AppleTV HD. It's just some podcasts right now, but I'd consider it a good omen.

The only people who want to compare it that way are apple fans. The rest of the world rightfully compare it according to device. Smartphone OS to smartphone OS.

You're making an assumption, and an unsubstantiated accusation....

The larger projects are the ones you make your money on. Little jobs sometimes hardly warrant all the time in initial consultation, doing quotes, invoices, possibly banking cheques and other admin. So don't necessarily turn down good work, but just make sure you're setting your prices, not him. Charge him for every minute of author's corrections too, and make sure that's written on the quote that he signs to accept the job.

Oh, and I forgot to say before, if you do decide to take on any more work from him, make sure you get paid for these jobs first! He could be a non-payer, and then you'll really know what a nightmare client is all about!

Hi. Thanks for the advice. I definitely won't lift a finger towards another job until he pays for this one. I made sure he paid up for the logo before I started the site concept. Overall the guy gives me bad vibes. My other clients are always happy with the end result and we interact civilly. If this guy talks down to me one more, I'll politely cut him loose. No, it's just principle. Some people just need to be "removed" from the world. It's as simple as that. Like if you rape a baby for example, i think you pretty much just stripped yourself of your right to be alive. Euthanize them like a dog, why not? And also, you don't know if some judge 50 years in the future will release them for good behavior and so they can "die in peace".

That's a really good point, I'm surprised they haven't already. Everybody else is all over the b-segment now, and yet I haven't even heard a peep from VW about this possibility.

This thread http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1127873 is asking about drive sizes for PPC machines but the thread on the apple site pointed to doesn't seem to answer the question definitively - at least to me but I'm kinda new.

what is the max drive size for a PPC with with a ATA controller in one of the PCI slots?

I have heard of the 2TB limit per drive before. I cannot confirm this 100% though as all my drives are less than 2TB. I have 3.5 TB total but it consists of 3x 1TB and 1x 500GB.

I think 2TB drives are a great option for you. They can be had for as little as 75-80 each these days and 4 of them would give you 8TB in your file server. Not too shabby.

I myself plan to buy a couple 2TB drives soon as I am running out of space even with 3.5 TB.

Again, have you read the thread? I wasn't aware, "It costs more to execute someone than keep him in prison for life," was a "bleeding heart emotional response." I also didn't think, "It's impossible to be 100% certain," was emotional either. Funny, to me, these arguments seemed pretty fact-based. The only one with an emotional response is you, demanding blood.

It's impossible to be 100% certain is a crap response, because in many cases it is 100% certain, and i've named a few already. Also, the whole financial issue is very debatable and i don't think anyone here has solid figures on it. The only reason it may cost more to execute someone is because of all the appeals and court costs, this can easily be fixed so execution is the most economical way. I'm not going any further into this because my stance that some people are unworthy of life won't change. Peace out girl scout.

I referred to this case in the human versus animal value thread when a few posters said that any human life has more value than any animal. They would save the life of either of these guys over any animal.

Are you frickin kidding me? I didn't participate in that thread and now i'm glad i didn't. Funny you mention it though, because i just watched this video and it brought tears to my eyes. Watch it, it shows how animals are more humane than some humans.

Besides worrying about Manufacturers and telco vendors, people need to always be aware that when they have a device such as an iPhone, iPad, and Android device, that they are carrying around a pocket, or highly portable computer.

Security concerns you would have with data on your laptop should be carried over to those devices, and even, be paid closer attention to. You are carrying around a device that is most always internet connected, has cameras, has GPS, has Microphones, and motion sensors.

I don't consider my iPhone a spy device, but, I keep all of those things in mind when I am running around with it ;) .

Thinking about it, was debating MeadowHell but have a feeling that'll probably be the worst one to try. The one on Division Street may be worth a shout tho
