Give atleast 1-2 months for booking the appointment. It was a harrowing experience getting an appointment to the point where my fingers were aching. Also add in time for the Canada visa. We went to Canada consulate in DC for the Visa.

USCIS might be processing the applications in the order of recipt date
(need not adjudicate the application which is based on priority date)

So, i think USCIS can process applications without priority date being current.

reality 'bites'.. I said 'drowned' .. so there is no 'saving' from 'drowning' in this case.. what you mentioned applies to people who are still afloat clinging on for dear life..

Ok , just got off the phone with my lawyer.He says we can not file a I485 because the priority date is not current. EB3 is showing 01OCT01 and we can only file that form when the bulletin is showing April2002. He says we are not eligible for that...And then he said "if the date was current, you would be in Turkey for consular processing and will not need file"

Saturn has plants to produce cars, BUT NO TECHNOLOGY OF THEIR OWN. NO R&D.

Saturn sells rebranded-rebadged OPEL (GM - EUROPE, now sold to Magna) Vehicles.

While Jaguar and Land Rover are very strong brands with their own technologies and research & design capabilities. Besides Tata bought those brands when Rupee was historically high (below 40 per USD). So I don't think Tata made any mistakes.

I think it is Mahindra who is making mistake by not buying Hummer or Volvo or Saturn. I am very excited to see first Indian Vehicle to be sold in US i.e. Mahindra in 2009. No matter what, I will be the first to buy one.

Is there a way I can get a copy of this from USCIS?

USCIS will not give you a copy.

OK There are two places you can find your OPT CArd.
1. International Students Office of your College (if you had given thema copy, most likely).

2. The company that you were employed during OPT(Definitely they take a copy of this OPT Card. Check with them.)

I am currently holding L1 and B1 visa from a company A. Now some company B has applied for my H1 Visa. If I get H1b visa, does both L1 and B1 get cancelled.

My experience at H1B stamping was that they canceled all my previously stamped visas and wrote/stamped "CWP" or "Canceled without prejudice" on them

There is a clause saying that you need to be in status for last 180 days since your last entry to US. And since u are in good status for past 180 days u r good. Consult a lawyer on this as well, but I think u may eb fine

if it's any help i have a 2nd hand Sigma APO macro 70-300mm. like NikNikon i found the D70 kit lens much sharper generally, but the sigma when stopped sown to f8 or f9 at 300mm seems to be sufficiently clear enough and really helps for picking out faces in crowds etc. i recently went to a chinease new year festival and the extra reach of the lens blew me away. i could get full frame shots of the dragon mask even though i was stood further back in the crowd. being stopped down thoough i find if the light is less than ideal i need a very fast ISO to keep the shutter speed up. hope that helps :-)
