Mine was reject due to "missing or incorrect fee" refiled on Oct 12, waiting. Strange part is we dont have any evidence of the original check. That makes it complicated..

I was denied ever $1 stimulus payment for 1 joint filer (spouse) being ITIN holder and from the way things are going it would not happen by 2008 either. If not $1500 why they denied even $1500- $600(for the ITIN filer) = $900 ? Why shouldn't i get at least $900 ....??

I am always wary of an email asking for personal information. I sent her an email and asked for her to reply with a telephone number to call. I have heard nothing back. She looks legit, but I need to be sure. I did the same with the San Jose reporter and he sent me his phone number. So that was fine.

The problem he is talking about is not a widespread one and never heard of, other than may be for one or two people in this forum (one may be nk2006; sorry that it happened to you).

Even if it had happened to one or two exceptional cases, it can be rectified as it is a simple error from the part of USCIS. This is not a major thing to waste IV resources. This is not a serious immigration issue.

The way nk2006 misused IV resources for such a simple personal issue is unpardonable .

Knowing that there are such people among 'highly educated' is disheartening.

Let me clarify couple of things.

1. This is highly widespread issue. It affects you, me and everyone. If you didn't pay enough attention on whats going on, its your problem.

2. Yes, NK2006 has put multiple threads and you are annoyed. But who are you saying this is misuse of IV resources? What is your contribution in action items and IV activities? I am not talking monetory part but activeness. If you are not contributing, you should not care about organization resource right?

I hope you learnt that its OUR organization. Any problem we are discussiing is OURs. Not your and mine.

which school did you got into? My opinion forget about GC, pursue the MBA if it is Insead etc, get into Mgt Consulting and work for McKinsey etc. You can come back to states on H1. Also after few years get into corp world as VP of something.

If it is not a college of Insead level try to get into part time in US. I am doing Part time MBA at Kellogg and would graduate in 2008 as well.

Please take a look at page 249. If I understand it correctly, it mentions that the quota for EB1 goes from 28.6% of EB visas to 15%, EB2 goes from 28.6% to 15% and EB3 goes from 28.6% to 35%

That means they WILL create a new category of EB visas since they have to utilize these extra visas somewhere!

My educational background is Bachelor of Engginerring in Computer science.

I came to United states in December 2006. when i came i was having six years of experience.

My employer applied for my Labor in 2nd week of August 2008. After 2 weeks my attorney asked for a self affidavit having details about my work experience from 2001 till 2006 and also he gave me a format.

I prepared one affidavit for one employer ( totaly five affidavit for five employers between 2001 to 2006 ). I was team member in First and second Employer, i was a Team Lead in third employer, I was a Project Leader in Fourth and Fifth employer.

When i prepared the self affidavit i made a mistake, I gave the correct dates, correct designation ( Which is in my offer and reliving letter ) but i kept same responsiblities for all employers.

I didnot get any issues in my Labor. My Labor got approved in March 2009. Now my employer filed I - 140 in the end of september. Two days back he said that there is a RFE regarding my I - 140 case. THe RFE contains the Below Details.


"SINCE THE EVIDENCE INDICATES THAT THE BENEFICIARY DOES NOT HOLD AN ADVANCED DEGREE, IT MUST ESTABLISH THAT HIS POST-BACCALAUREATE EXPERIENCE WAS PROGRESSIVE. HOWEVER, HIS SWORN AFFIDAVITS INDICATES THAT WHILE HIS JOB TITLES CHANGED, HIS DUTIES IN 2006 WERE STILL THE SAME AS THEY WERE IN 2001 FOR EMPLOYER 2. PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW HIS EXPERIENCE WAS PROGRESSIVE"

I explained the suitation to my employer but he is saying there is only 50:50 chance for I-140 to get approved.

What will happen now ?

What type of document i should provide to USCIS for this query?

Will my I - 140 get approved ?

Last week, I submitted my documents to my lawyer but until now I haven't received any confirmation from my employer yet if my application has been filed already. We are not allowed to contact our lawyer directly so I'm just relying on my employer about this. I'm quite concerned coz there's no way for me to find out if they have filed it or not.
Is there a way? Please help me please. Thank you

485 is your petition and does not have anything confidential about your company, so legally your employer should not cut ur access to lawyer.

Labor and 140, it is undeerstandable for employer - lawyer protocol, but 485 that must not be the case.

Contact your lawyer, nothing wrong in asking for reciept notice. But remember, I am a third person and don't know about your employer and lawyer and how they are. So do it at your discretion

I filed for my EAD in August, got an approval for EAD (2 yrs) and AP for one yr but no FP notice. What should I do
I checked with my lawyer and she says previous FP is valid for 15 to 18 months

Did you paper file or efile?
If paper filed, no FP is required.

The H1 document in and by itself is not. The I-94 card that comes printed at the bottom is. And the I-94 card is a valid document as per the I-9 form.

This is a client. My company gave a letter from immigration department saying EAD is a valid document to work. But their security team is just adamant saying they need valid visa & I94. So What helps me is some thing that says EAD is valid for legal employment or it is not legal to descriminate based on the status.

I even have valid drivers licence etc. still they don't see it as valid.

I 9 form does have i 766 as valid entry.

I got my GC last year auguest but her gc/485 status is stil pending. Is it even possible based on her case was dependent on me? What can I do abt it. Thanks.

ditto. Screw em if they don't like it. I know if I don't like the program, it goes right off my machine and probebly wont ever be tested again. :)

I do think that painter has many features that photoshop doesn't, but out of the two, Photoshop is probebly a lot more useful. If you want to draw though, and you want to gain a real sense of texture which is the same as the none virtual medium, then Painter is the only way to go. That is to say.. if you want your cartoon to look like it's drawn in crayon.. Photoshop just wont cut it.

Edwin is really the one to ask about this. He's a very experienced Photoshop user and also has Painter6.0.

I will take a look around for books.. but like you and I have already said.. pickins are scarce.
