no clue i got this thing when i was 10 when do i push the shift key cause i have tried that a few different ways

I have a 2007 Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz with a 40GB SSD that I boot snow leopard and apps from and a 160GB HDD that is in an optibay and stores my data/ holds my home folder (i.e., my superdrive is in an external enclosure).

If I want to install Lion, what is the best way for me to do this without losing my snow leopard setup? I have some 25GB left on the SSD last time I checked. Should I partition it? If I have a Mac Mini with snow leopard and all my stuff should I just install Lion clean over snow leopard on my MBP or is Lion too buggy?

Get either a Seagate or an Hitachi.

I could tell you bad stories about pretty much all the brands of hard drives that are around today. Seagate and Hitachi are the least trouble prone.

Hitachi is ex-IBM, so they have the worst historical reputation.

I think he's better off wiping and reinstalling the OS.

I agree. Who knows what dingleberries are hanging on from the previous user? Best to start fresh and safe with a clean install.

BTW Macaholic, how did you get sooooo much folding power?!? And are you folding for Team MR?!?

Bought it or built it myself. A man has to have a hobby. ;) I fold with Team MacOS X. Calling all Mac folders. Please spread the SMP client news (http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=16715&highlight=) far and wide. Oh, did I mention it is SPEEDY and worth your time?! Can you say NATIVE?! actually, if there were some layers (i.e. mixing some of the existing tracks) to get some more depth, it could be quite nice.

i get the same thing to. it usually happens when i play the app words with friends. If the app runs ads and you go to the home screen sometimes you get the ad below the status bar, sometimes you don't. if you close the app then the ad will go away. (double tap home button and hold down the app till the minus sign comes up to close it)

i love that show but since school started i havent been able to watch it

i have a bunch of audio wav files that i imported into garageband and then i made another track with midi drums.

there is a point in the song where the tempo drops 10 bpm, and then goes back to the original tempo.

doing the master tempo automation is fine, but the problem is that when i change that section of the midi track and drop it down, all the audio files shift with it.

i want the audio files to not shift and stay where they are on the timeline. I only want the midi track to change tempo.

is this possible?

Maybe they are not at a computer where they can try?

Dodgy methods? Couldnt you have just signed up for a US iTunes account and downloaded it, then switched back to your normal one? That's how most non-US people got it easly.

a 500 dually should be planty fast, although im not sure if those 2 500s act as a 1ghz in osx, or if the application has to be multithreaded


maybe somone could answer thatActs as two 500MHz CPUs, the OS does a decent job of handling the threads in Tiger now.

But most apps aren't really multithreaded, unless you take a look at some of the Pro apps.

Even with BSDs SMPng, people still say there are some problems with the way Tiger handles threads and a ways to go.

But there is a lot to like about OS Xs SMP capability also.

OS X is much better than OS 9, which would basically make use of the machine as a single 500 MHz machine -- except for the apps that make use of the multi-CPU extension for some of their filters and plug-ins.

Online translators are not very accurate with translating texts. It's much better to just pay a professional to do it for you.

As for the dropdowns, you could consider replacing them with "suckerfish" dropdowns that use only HTML and CSS and a little tiny javascript for IE.

best advice- talk to an insurance agent who knows the details of their plans and what is avail. No one on here can speak accurately as all plans as they all work different for diff companies.

Do you game a lot? If you don�t, you better get off with base 21.5� or base 27� for screen estate

Truly, gaming is an expensive hobby. Be thankful if you hate video games, since you won�t care about how many FPS you can get from your screen

I agree with you too. Gaming is pretty good if you run bootcamp. But, I would still suggest base 21.5" or go all out with the maxed 27"! :)
