Funny how NC law forbids the sale of handguns to anyone under 21, but you're 21 and you already have 2 expensive guns (and the iPhone you took the photo with). And yet you have to run a racket to be able afford a guitar.

I agree. Adobe has made some great changes while Apple rested on its laurels and decided to cater to consumer devices. I bought the FCS3 upgrade with hopes there would be some decent changes but quickly realized that it wasn't much different than FCS2. Plus when you consider that Adobe delivered 64 bit editing on Apple's own platform before Apple did showed me and many others just how committed (or lack of) Apple is to their professional apps.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is a very impressive smartphone.
It also includes Swype, the best touch screen input method ever. I've been using swype for months. The speed, accuracy, and enjoyment of using it, is simply amazing.
I'm so disappointed that Apple rejected it. Swype would add even more fun to the iPhone. Not to mention its incredible ease of use and speed.

That's exactly what I was thinking. How would the touch screen manufacturers know which phone they're producing the screens for? If Foxconn was saying this, then that would be different since they're the ones assembling the phones.

The IRS would be very unhappy with me and my accountant if my business didn't report the portion of my iOS app sales that went to iPod Touch users (a significant portion, according to some analytics I ran last year). I don't sell anywhere near as many apps to Android users. Too bad.

Skandar KeynesI honestly don't care....my upgrade date was timed almost perfectly with the release of the iPhone 4 last year (Upgraded in late July once the damn phone was actually available without having to beat up hipsters in line IIRC), and unless they offer early upgrade deals better than what they have the last couple of years, I wouldn't be eligible to upgrade anyway. The iPad has taken up all of my iOS gaming, so really all I need an iPhone to do is be an iPod and use reference apps on the go (maps, wikipedia, soundhound, imdb, recipes, safari, banking, ebay, amazon, etc). Maybe one or two small games for Dr's office waiting rooms like Tiny Wings or Angry Birds, but I'm pretty sure the iPhone 4 will be able to handle that demanding load for years to come....
I'm even open to an iPhone lite- I don't need a powerhouse in my pocket and if I save some money, good deal.

Just out of interest what do the other 10% use?
I'd assume the 'other' category would be a mix of Lightworks, Media100, Premiere Pro and maybe even Sony Vegas. Mizzurah posted a link to the most recent version of the survey I was trying to recall and it has Avid at 76%, FCP at just under 20% and 'other' w/just under 5%.

Agreed, and I think that Android devices finally grew up into a decent alternative many people got tired of waiting and are now under contract with something else. So the available market shrunk as more people got under contract.
Even though the iPhone4 is a great phone, the iPhone 5 is needed soon to energize things. Too many people realize that the iPhone4 is nearing the end of it's life cycle.
This is the issue with a yearly product cycle. People begin to understand when that cycle starts over, avoid new purchases of the product, and even tell their friends and family to not buy right now.
