SB-26 will be a problem. You cannot use TTL flash mode with any Nikon digital camera. It would be like going back to an old thyristor auto flash. Only the DX series flashes work with the digitals.

In my opinion, your situation clearly falls within the "receipt rule". The rec't for replacement of the lost EAD is good for up to 90 days. Below is an excerpt from the the most recent I-9 Handbook for Employers published by USCIS. This pretty clearly differentiates between a rec't for an initial or renewal application and a rec't for an application to replace a lost document.

Q When can employees present receipts for documents in lieu of actual documents establishing employment authorization?

A The �receipt rule� is designed to cover situations in which an employee is employment autho- rized at the time of initial hire or reverification, but he or she is not in possession of a document listed on page 5 of Form I-9. Receipts showing that a person has applied for an initial grant of employment authorization or for renewal of employment authorization are not acceptable.
An individual may present a receipt in lieu of a document listed on Form I-9 to complete Section 2 of Form I-9.The receipt is valid for a temporary period.There are three different documents that qualify as receipts under the rule:

My brother has just completed his engineering , is 21 yrs of age and has got placed in infosys.His joining date is in December, so would it be easy for him to get d visitors visa as even i want him to have some fun b4 starting off with his work life. Should he carry his offer letter with him and also would it b wise to book d ticket in advance and show them d return ticket as a proof just to tell them tat he will b back in a month and also would like to know the other questions which r expected. First find the SOC code for the Labor based on which your 485 is pending, Then find the SOC code for new job. If they are same or similar you are fine.

Job Title alone does Not decide the SOC code for your job, It is mostly a function of the Job duties.

If your new employer would co-operate, Get a new Job offer letter that has atleast 50% same Job duties so that When USCIS adjudicates your 485, they arrive at same or similar SOC code as your original {in this case substituted labor}. SOC code.

One of my buddies got his GC approved yesterday and his Priority Date is June 2005, EB2 India. I am here waiting since 2004 March to file for my I485. There are no methods to USCIS Madness.

This is possible, if LC of your buddy was approved within months. In 2005 most categories were Current, so he/she filed I-140 and I-485 in 2005, which concluded with a GC now.

Here is my situation, it might help to many, who are planning to move to MA..

My background License history:
I had two full term (4 years) license in PA (I guess when I came to USA they used to give full term license) and got a 2 year license recently in NC since my EAD was valid till 2010 only.

Now 1 month ago moved to MA:
1- First time I went to RMV (same as DMV), very rude person, your license is temp and we can do transfer for you. You need to take written and road test again. I argued that I had full term licenses and this is not temp license. This is based on my visa and issue me till the validity of visa. Person got angry and told me, don't tell me the rules. This is temp license and let me make sure I put you on the system, so you can get any where else.
I spoke to her supervisor and person told me the same. I came back and thought, this person might be rude and went to different RMV next day.

2- Second day, different center and they told the same and I thought since this the rule let me start the process and take the written test and road test.

Now the problem-
They took all the paperwork and made copy and started with my wife for test. She went to take a test and she didn't allow me to so by saying that there is a hold for you at other place and you need to go there.

Since my wife was not prepared, she failed and STRANGE THING, THEY KEPT HER LICENSE and didn't return. I asked that how is she going to drive etc. We can't give license back.
Now we are stuck, until she passes her written and road test.

Same thing is going to happen for me. I am in very painful situation and don't know the way out.

If anyone has similar situation, please share.

ALSO, PEOPLE WHO ARE MOVING TO MA, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THIS CEAZY RULE AND BE ARE PREPARED

Had they not wasted all those VISAs in the past due to their inefficiency, there wouldn't be this much backlog. If they have reallocated all the unused VISAs at the end of each fiscal year to the over subscribed countries, there wouldn't be this big problem.

This backlog was created by incompetent leadership at USCIS and lack of vision in the congress. Politics and bureaucracy rule the immigration, not logic or the interests of the country.

God help us. Given the poor economy since last year and lots of RFEs and strict PERM audits, in coming years, the demand for GCs will go away. Things should stabilize and we should see some significant movement to the EB2 by end of this year. EB3 is more tricky since many countries are over subscribed compare to EB2, where India and china are the primary over subscribers.

Recapture bill should put an end to this retrogression and if the CIR and strict criteria goes into effect, this will make EB1 and EB2 qualification all the more difficult in future. Not bright days ahead for immigrants in this country.

This article hits the nail right on the head. However there is one footnote that
needs to be added.

Assuming Salil Pradhan is in the EB-2 Category (Alien with Exceptional Ability
or Advanced degree), if he was born in Mexico he could apply for his I-485, also called adjustment of status, right away.

Just because he was born in India he is being subjected to this backlog

Usually in that instance, you should receive a NOID from the USCIS. It goes to your lawyer. Which is why, if you are absolutely sure that your employer will revoke the I-140, it is better to file for AC21 with your own lawyer.(Not the company lawyer). In such a case, even if USCIS sends a notice to deny, it will reach your lawyer rather than the company's lawyer

Before voting, I saw the poll results, it said total number of votes = 9345. Then I voted "yes". The total no of votes still stands at 9345.

Is this anything to do with PD?

The only way to get this CIR is to get full support of Get support of Senator McCain. If we get his support, atleast some republicans will support the bill and it can pass.

I am a july 2nd filer, just called the call center, call got transferred to 2nd level rep. She looked in the system and it's not in their system yet. And she couldn't advise any thing when I asked her what is the next step.
