What my concern is after the query is send and replied, still the 15 day limit stays or it loses that and goes back to the normal processing.

They are totally useless.

Earlier trial Adobe 7.0 Professional did give edit and save. Not 8.0

Bottonline: don't waste time or by 8.0 for USD 1800 or so. Or use one who has PDF editors (Admins etc)

Buy PDFill it will cost 20$ , It is cheapest software available for editing and saving PDF forms.

I agree with portability logic. In that case, a 485 is tied with individual. Why cant a individual have a 485 certified anytime. That is not going to change even if he moves from place to place. In fact, a 485 should be like a degree certificate validating all the credentials. We should be able to carry it wherever we go and show it to our prospective employer and get the GC process moving.

Having said that, there is no need to wait to file 485 due to visa retrogression. Visa numbers are for adjucating the individual 485 and granting the perm residency status. I dont understand why the 485 stage comes as the final one and why the hell it is tied up with VISA numbers.

Example: The applicant gets all medical check up and he is hale and healthy. He filed for 485 and it is pending for 5 years due to retrogression. Every year or once in two year he needs to repeat the medical checkup and declare he is still healthy until he gets the GC. This funny test is not required after he gets GC. Assume in 4th year he gets the deadly VIRUS decease from a US citizen, then he will be denied of GC. The reason is he will spread this contagious disease which he got from US citizen. But he is free to walk and spread if he has GC. Is't funny. I may be wrong........

LC - Verification is related to the sponsored job
140 - Verification is related to the sponsoring company
485 - Verification is related to the sponsored individual

Portability, by definition, applies to individual and not company. Why would your company want you to have portability?

The reason is I cannot show my 2.5 yrs of experience which i have with my current employer who is filing my LC. I am desperately trying to show MS+x yrs of experience so that its easy to get through

pls keep all your timesheets signed by your client manager in safe place...just in case if he lays you off, then he needs to give you either notice and pay for that period or severence package if he terminates your employement immediately and also all the back wages for the period he did not pay you till today.
Even though if you do not have timesheets from your client manager, he is still required to pay you but to be on safer side I'd recommend you to keep timesheets signed by the client manager and if required notify the Client and the Vendor(if there is one) about your employer, this way he will loose the business of the client/vendor plus if required you can always fax your timesheets to DOL as well to prove that you have been working at the client side and your employer is getting paid by the client for your services.

I would suggest having a potluck in front of capitol and also see the cherry blossom in the evening. If possible a boating ride can be squeezed in.

This would make a statement that we are well off and out only problem is the delay in GC

I am even willing to pay $10K per family member to get a GC. Only condition is that they should process it in the same way as other Premium processing. It should not take years in Name check or any other processing after paying this kind of money.

Australia has similar plan for parent Visa. Any Permanent Resident can pay Approx 20K Aus$ and get a permanent Resident Visa for parents.

A note: If you look at the web sites of immigration law firms, some of them can be very deceptive in giving you a feel that the firm is big; none the less it does not mean that big firms give the best advise and results. One advantage of big firms is that they deal with a good volume of cases and have good knowledge inhouse about the trends and what might work/does not work.

I paid for a 2007 labor for 15k. Now I am screwed.

I did it successfully in Toronto.
While entering Canada I showed them my Canadian Immigration papers and told them I will bring my stuff from US in second round. I did not tell Canadian Immigration officer that I came for US visa stamp.
However You can tell at US consulate that you landed in Canada as Canadian Immigrant and while coming back in US at the border. They won't mind.

Yes, I know a couple of people who got GC and but their spouses are still waiting after more than a year. It could be due to lack of information they check from various agencies, such as home address (particulary if spouse is not working)

Still valid meaning it has not expired.

We filed back in June'07 and received secong finger printing requests last week.

My 140 was received at TSC on 23 APR 2007. I also have an lud 08/05 which is a sunday.
does anybody see a pattern.

If I read your profile right, you arrived in US in April 2005 flied for LC in July 07. I think that is a different situation than someone working in H1B since 1999 (F1 since 1996). Do you know anyone in H1B since 1999 and without an EAD option? I suppose waiting 14 years is very different than waiting 5 years..
