However, had Canon had all-in-ones available at the time I got the CX6400, as they do now, I would have gone for a Canon model instead.
Actually, they were all Canon units. Looked great and worked very well in the beginning.
That was my reason for being vague about any specific brand, all multifuntion units leave a lot to be desired in the quality department.
There ain't no free lunch. The only reason that all the manufacturers can offer such seemingly good value for money, is because they cut corners where you can't see - at least not at first anyhow.
1250256660 Bar Refaeli SI 2010thank you for replying! but i think im doing it wrong. i tried to follow the link you had but its not working for me. can you please help walk me through it or anyone else who wants to help me? i started up my mac with the mac os x dvd and went to the disk utility but my bootcamp partition wasnt allowing me to repair it ( grayed out options ).

Bar RefaeliHi All...
I was hoping for some help and guidance. I've been a network engineer for 15 years now. All of my experience is in the Microsoft arena. Lately, my organization has been adopting MAC / Apple products ( iPad, iPhones, etc. ) but we've now gone as far as to purchase our first MAC desktop system, an iMAC.
Having no formal training in administering an iMAC in a Windows AD Domain ( 2008 ) I've been scouring the internet ( Google ) looking for as much information as I can. So far, I've been able to integrate it into our AD Domain and have network users login and have access to their network home directories.
I am, however, suffering in a couple of areas and was hoping that I could get some real world advice on the following:
1) What is the best way for me to administer this computer remotely using my Windows 7 Pro workstation? Example: Remotely connecting to it for help desk and other needs. Currently I use Dameware NT Utilities to remotely connect and administer my PC based workstations. Is there a similar utility for iMAC's that will run on Windows 7?
2) Login scripts... How am I able to accomplish this on a MAC? My PC based workstations use a batch file to map network drives and other things needed at login.
3) What is the best way for me to be able to control the iMAC through Group Policies? Or maybe I should be asking if this is even possible?
I appreciate in advance for any help your able to give! :)
2) Use Automator to create an application and have it run at login.
specifically to mount network drives use "get specified servers"
and add servers as smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/mountfolder add as many as you need.
Then use "Connect to servers"
Save as an application and then in Accounts add to the login items.
Using Automator you will be able to do many other things on startup as well.

short but sweet.
cover girl Bar Refaeli.I concur, external is the way to go. Dlink and others make some relatively inexpensive external enclosures that can hold 2, 4 or more drives, depending on your budget; you buy your own drives, whatever size you want, say 2x2TB drives and configure the enclosure (not all do this) with RAID 1, that way you have redundancy if one drive fails. This is what I would suggest you look into, its not that expensive and provides lots of space and protection from drive failure. Most of these enclosures are USB, some, usually more expensive, offer firewire or network connectivity.

Model Bar Refaeli – 2010iOS v Android

I have seen posts in which people ask about gaming on the mac without windows, using multiple monitors, or thinking of upgrading to a mac pro. None of these accurately describe my problem. I know that mac os x does not support crossfire.
I have a 2009 mac pro. I use os X for everything except gaming. The 5770 does what I need it to do on the mac side. Gaming under bootcamp with windows 7 is not as good as I would like. I will only be using one ACD 27" and no other monitor. I do not wish to put a 2nd PSU in the 2nd optical bay slot.
So, should I order another 5770 and use it in crossfire or sell the 5770 that I have and upgrade to the 5870. As I recall, crossfire is not a mobo thing. If this has been answered before, I apologize in advance.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DocT
I believe the crossfired 5770s would be faster. and it will give you better anti-alasting. Why would you however even consider buying an 5870 it is outdated and expensive as hell compared to some of the newer cards out their. I use a 6870 and it as smooth as butter.

I'd love to get this, but I'm getting into the habit of buying old franchises too much on my DS. All I've bought so far is two Mario games, a Sonic game, and Trauma Centre, the latter being the game not from a franchise I've played before (and I didn't even enjoy it that much).
But, if its cheap enough, I'll probably get it. And, by coincidence, Theme Park is the first game I ever played on a Mac :D

Bar Refaeli Sports IllustratedUnlike some other countries, where loser pays. We have a court system where you don't get penalize for bringing unwarranted lawsuits. Therefore, it gets expensive to mount a defense.
What's your point? The legality of jb has already been established.
To sue someone, you have to know who they are so you can serve them. What's Apple going to do, sue comex? chpwn? Apple doesn't know who they are. Sony knew who geohot was because he's an attention whore.
But I forgot, it's much more attention grabbing and easier to get people to donate if you scare them into thinking the jb world will come to an end if you don't send geohot money.
ar refaeli sports illustratedI just grew out of iMovie and am having a little trouble with FCE. I want to capture video from my Sony DV camera. In iMovie, I would click import, and it would make a new clip every time there was a cut on the original tape. I want to do the same in FCE, but can't figure out how do it. I have imported 1 clip by defining the in and out time codes but that took way to long and is impractical for doing hours of footage that way. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.

2010-02-24-Man, just go buy one. The hardware was just updated and they are terrific machines. Installing Lion will take about 30 mins in typical Apple fashion. You'll love it.

I've never cut w/iMovie or FCE and I've never captured using the "scene" or "start/stop" detection that it seems like every iMovie user does. But a short trip the FCE discussion forum on Apple.com taught me this:
FCE will mark the start/stop points in the tape after you capture it where as iMovie does it while you are capturing. So, Freg3000, capture 10 or 15 minutes of footage from the camera and then drop that clip onto the timeline. Then go to Mark-->DV Start/Stop Detection and FCE will mark each start/stop in the clip. Then just create sub-clips and place those sub-clips into whatever bins you have created in the browser.

Can anyone give me a list of all the song names on the ipods in the apple music store? Also can anybody give my the name of the song that is on an ipod at the store. Its name has the word voodoo in it and it is electronic. I want to know the band and the song name!!
At least from my experience, the songs on the displayed iPods and Computers vary. It's not a uniform tracklist sent by apple, just a collection built by an employee/manager.
Write a program to do it for you ;)

tis a little ceepy, but inventive nonetheless.
I googled this response, but most seem to think that it's due to running Windows 95, or an older Netscape browser, and the PC I just used has XP, Quicktime 6 and as basically all up to date, I think.
Lau, you need QuickTime 7 to view H.264 content.
Depending on the type of content, change your codec to something like Sorenson Video 3 you'll take a size hit, but it should work fine.
Hope that helps.

Im selling my Shuffle hoping to get at least $100 - $120 for it. Im looking at a 20Gb iPod <- Wayyy too much space or a nano. I like the nano because I already take my Shuffle everywhere with me. I like the screen of the nano well because its color and you can view pictures. But a 20Gb or 10Gb 3Gen would be a bit big. And I like the portability of the nano. Its small so I can keep it in my pocket with other school stuff ( ID, pens, ect) and from some pictures I have seen of it it fits in any pocket. I have only 3.6Gb of music so a 4Gb model would be fine. And about 50Mb of pictures. Any advice?
My advice would be to go with the iPod...unless you don't need that space...go for the nano...
