Eating, Sleeping, and Working Being on here refreshing the UK thread ever 5 seconds! :p
Johnny Weir (gotta loveI might head over. Let me know how the line is later in the day. I wonder when Walmart are going to sell theirs.
story called “Johnny Weir,I think it's more that Apple realized that in order to make money off the iPod they would have to make it too expensive for most people. When the iPod was released in 2001 it cost $500, and everyone bitched about it being too expensive. So Apple has changed their approach to selling the iPod for as cheap as possible while still making a little bit of money; this way they sell a lot more so their profits are higher than if they sold the iPod to make money. Ya follow?
The Mac on the other hand is still priced to be the cash cow.
so aren't you supposed to keep the cow happy?
an overheating cow is not happy; a cow needs to be dressed (case redesign?) to be happy; a slow cow is not happy; a cow that can't process graphics good enough is not happy, she may confuse her own poop for grass.
damn mac, they are sadomasochists.
skater Johnny Weir says heTry going into parallels settings and increasing the ram allocated to the virtual machine to at least 3gigs. That is what I had to do. Hope that helps. :)

Finder, 368 bytes, version "Mac OS X Fake Finder 10.0", date 14/7/02, 11:34 PM.
Finder.app, 10 560 787 bytes, version "Mac OS X Finder 10.2.1", date 22/10/02, 11:35 AM.
Dock.app, 585 510 bytes, version "Dock 1.1.1", date 22/10/02, 11:25 AM.
I installed from the 10.2.1 CDs and updated to 10.2.6. Take a look at your files and see if they're the same size and version.
Edit: Just looked at the permissions, all 3 files are set to:
Owner: system
Access: Read & Write
Group: wheel
Access: Read only
Others: Read only
Weir Talks Clothing LineI have never used a Samsung drive, nor do I know anybody who has. Do they actually make their own? Or do they get drives relabeled from another company?
I have a P80. They make their own drives and have very nice tech. But they only make smaller drives with up to 2 platters (P120 has 125GB per platter).
more...Figure Skater Johnny WeirI click my bookmark (http://www.spymac.com/gallery) to go and take a quick look around the oh-so-slow Spymac galleries, and look what now welcomes you when you first visit the site, a bloody great sales pitch   Same thing happens if you go to the front page. It only seems to come up when you first visit, and if you leave, but don't close your browser it will not be there if you go back again. But if you quit your browser then go back you will be greated by it again.
Spymac have now totally gone down the comercial pan.
edit: oh, and btw, we need to arrange to hunt down the dude "modeling" the shirt and wipe that grin off is face ;) :D

You either loved or hated the puck. If it was clean, it felt great to use. I still have them and use one on the blueberry iMac I have in the garage. I personally liked it a lot. That said, I still use the original black Pro Mouse to this day with my main setup.
You have an iMac in your garage?
Johnny never did.- I meant I tried all types of reboot and also several restore from iTunes.
- It is not the apps that I thought was causing it. After removing the apps that were updated it is still happening, BUT -- I now can clear it usually after one or more hard reset (power+home+10secs).
- I also notice that the touch screen is getting a little less responsive -- I use NoteTaker HD and can tell the difference when I am writing.
- I wonder if it is due to environmental changes? It is getting warmer and dryer here in the East coast. I also have a screen protector on it but that was installed weeks ago. (BSE) But I hate to peel it off to test at this point.
Really no one else is having this problem?

I have three letters for you.... DRM.
The Netflix app is very well protected.
They do this to prevent stream recording/capture.
I bet they need to update the app for the new accessory. I have been using Netflix with the apple component cable since we got our ipad, it works great.
That's what I was going to say. It's probably got nothing to do with DRM as they allow analog out to work.

This is crazy DO these people really think this would work? Myself I know they are only thinking of themselves or their church or people who think like them. They can't possibly want everyone to have this law.

Proposed Ballot Initiative Could Allow North Dakotans To Refuse To Follow Law On Religious Grounds
CONTACT: (212) 549-2666; media@aclu.org
BISMARCK, N.D. The North Dakota Secretary of State received a petition today supporting a state constitutional amendment that could allow anyone including employers, landlords and medical providers to refuse to follow any law based on their religious views. Supporters of the so-called Religious Liberty Restoration Amendment claim to have gathered enough signatures to place the proposed constitutional amendment on the North Dakota ballot in the next general election.
If passed, the amendment could allow people to refuse to comply with any law if they claim a religious exemption.
The following can be attributed to Robert Doody, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of the Dakotas:
North Dakotans have a proud history of respecting their neighbors right to live their lives according to what they believe, even if they do not share those beliefs. But this proposed amendment could lead people to refuse to follow virtually any law. It could allow people to argue that they have a right to abuse their children, refuse to hire people of different religious faiths or deny emergency health care.
The following can be attributed to Daniel Mach, Director of the ACLU Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief:
While all North Dakotans should be free to practice their faith, the proposed amendment goes too far. There are better ways to protect religious freedom without legalizing discrimination and undoing many long-standing laws that protect the public and ensure that everyone is treated fairly.
Did you know the ACLU is a Zionist anti-american based organization bent on destroying religous freedom?

Have you tried an SMC reset yet? It sometimes helped me.
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964)
Btw, the images don't show up yet.
How to attach an image to your MR post. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=11836587#post11836587)
I will look into that as soon as I have a chance. Not so sure if that will solve the issue ??? Again, the apple help page is long so I need a few min. thanks.

Whats the different between these drivers and the latest and greatest that are available on the Canon website?
I don't think there's a difference. I think this is simply a package with a bunch of drivers like how Windows does so that when you plug in a Canon printer the driver is there instead of having to install the individual drivers from the website or CD that comes with the printer.

Good ploy on their part to get a cheap emac.
Good luck with HP. Not a bad company's computer to have if you have to have a non-apple, but it still runs windows.
