Inactive memory

This information in memory is not actively being used, but was recently used.

For example, if you've been using Mail and then quit it, the RAM that Mail was using is marked as Inactive memory. This Inactive memory is available for use by another application, just like Free memory. However, if you open Mail before its Inactive memory is used by a different application, Mail will open quicker because its Inactive memory is converted to Active memory, instead of loading Mail from the slower hard disk.

I'm looking at upgrading my Mac Mini to 8GB of RAM (from 4). I checked out the Apple store (eeek, I know) and it was around $600 CDN for the 8GB of RAM!!!!

Question, though...based on what I know of the type of RAM in the mini, I can purchase some non-Apple branded RAM form my local computer store for about $100.

I know Apple is over-priced, but this is insanely over-priced.
Apple prides itself at charging the highest prices of all.

i think it's a great mac for anyone, starter or not!

example: I am habituated to my Dual G5, yet my 350MHz PMG4 is never a pain to use and is actually rather speedy at many things. I can only imagine what a faster G4 would be like

As for as I know, it's extremely unlikely for someone to brick an iPhone or iOS device. You can certainly mess up during the process if you are careless, but you would just have to restore it or go into DFU mode. So I wouldn't be afraid.

replace bookshelf with floating shelves.

so, since you own it how do you feel about it? What was the last mouse you used and how does it compare? What is your honest opinion about its battery life and tracking ability? What mouse pad are you using if its something other than your normal average joe mousepad. I have a brand new 16gb iphone. I will probably change this to FS or list it on ebay if i cannot deal with local buyers, but for now, i'd rather sell it locally since I will be in downtown chicago till the second midweek of may.

I know this might be a stupid question but i have been googling for hours now and i cannot find a solution.
Is there a way to unlock any other basebands off the iPhone 4 not only 1.59.00 that ultrasn0w does.? And if so can you please supply a list of the basebands that are unlockable with Verson 4.0iOS and up.?

What improvements do you think it needs? Better zoom/flash? I guess it is a phone first and a camera second so it will never really be able to out-do a standard digital camera

Looks like Apache is serving the whole file but either your ISP or your connection to your ISP is preventing you from serving anything greater than 45kb, who is your ISP?
