Exactly why you won't see a Verizon phone until Apple decides to adopt a chip that handles GSM and CDMA/LTE. One phone for both (all?) US carriers.

They won't make Lion "uninstallable" on it. But it might be "unbearable" for all but the most casual of users. ;)

First iTMS wasn't working, now it is.. it's like they're updating the DNS or something.

The video was hard to watch and saddens me more because a double minority (a black woman) should know better. The irony of this beating should be lost on no one.

You would think that; however one could argue that black Americans don't repay the goodwill done towards their causes by standing up for other minorities. In fact, you could say that they do the opposite and use other minorities as scape goats for their problems. You could say that but then everyone would just call you a racist.

I booted into snow leopard on another partition after using Lion for a while and I had trouble not scrolling inversely. I've gotten quite used to it.

Agree that Lion scrolling makes more sense now that iOS is so popular. But the odd "slider" tab controller really didn't make sense to me. It was animation for animation's sake.

...deep down everyone realizes that these protesters are protesting for petty reasons. They don't care about the kids, the schools, the state, the budget, the economy... they just don't want THEIRS to be taken away.Which is interesting, because isn't this exactly what we say about the corporations? That they don't care about their workers, the country, the economy; they're so short-sighted that all they care about is how much they can grab for themselves. Interesting because apparently that's okay for corporations, but not for people.

Not that I think the unions are that shallow. Just sayin' that it seems it's okay to be selfish as long as your name ends in INC or LLC.

Best Buy does this all the time. I purchased a Samsung TV off their Web site for in-store sameday pickup last year, and took my receipt to my local store. They wouldn't give me the TV I already purchased because they were holding all of that model until Sunday because of their Sunday ad flyer. They had at least 10 of that model in stock on their store shelves.

They told me I could come back Sunday to pick it up. Naturally, I refused (this was like Tuesday), called Best Buy Online and had them refund my purchase. Then, purchased from Amazon.

I'll never purchase anything major from them again.

I did the same with pc world in england, I haven't bought anything from there stores in the last 15 years and would reckon I've taken between family and friends probably �40,000 out of there takings by buying and advising people to purchase else where. Sometimes it may seem trivial to take a stand against these stores but the amounts do add up as time goes buy.

Which reminds me, I must write to the CEO this weekend and send photos and a list of all the stuff not bought through them. Just as they post there financial results, which aren't looking that good this year.
